Leena Im serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Aleo, a Layer‑1 purpose-built for privacy, programmability, and compliance. Aleo has raised ~$300M from a16z, Softbank, Tiger Global, Samsung, and Slow Ventures among others. She was a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Financial & Monetary Systems, where she helped shape forward-looking policy frameworks. Before joining Aleo, she held executive roles at Meta, including Director of Strategy & Operations and Director of FinTech Policy. She was also part of the start-up years of the CFPB during the Obama Administration, focused on behavioral economics and payments innovation. She is a Fulbright Scholar, with a B.A. in Political Science and an MPP (Public Policy) from the University of California, Berkeley.
