Louis Kim is a leader specializing in the development and execution of blockchain and digital asset strategies within the financial industry. His vision is: "Expanding core banking through blockchain technology." With over 15 years of experience in financial IT, blockchain, and digital innovation, he has successfully led more than 10 commercialized blockchain services and over 20 proof-of-concept projects. Since 2017, he has spearheaded Shinhan Bank’s blockchain and digital asset initiatives, including Korea’s first DID identity service (MyID), NFT wallet integration, blockchain-based loan authentication (Dr. Loan), and stablecoin-based cross-border remittances. Domestically, he serves as an advisor and committee member to institutions such as KISA (Korea Internet & Security Agency) and the Bank of Korea. Internationally, he represents Korea in Project Agorá, a BIS/IIF-led global payment infrastructure initiative, and is a Governing Council member of Hedera Hashgraph. As a hands-on strategist who bridges technology, regulation, and business, he continues to drive new revenue models and digital transformation in the banking sector.
