Sanat is the CIO & Head of Defi strategies at Monarq Asset Management. He was previously an general partner at BlockTower Capital where he led the $180M market-neutral fund and also drove early stage investments in DeFi and real-world assets. He was a co-founder of Gamma Point Capital, an industry leading market neutral fund acquired by Blocktower Capital. Sanat was previously a partner at IDG Ventures, a leading venture capital firm with $600M AUM, where he led early-stage investments in web3, fintech, AI and SaaS sectors. He has also held roles at Intel Capital and iSPIRT on the investment and corporate development teams. Sanat has led investments in >40 startups across his career and executed 12 M&A transactions cumulatively valued at $1B. Sanat started his career as a chip design engineer at Intel where he was a member of the Pentium IV and Core microprocessor design teams.
